In the midst of our everyday lives, we often find ourselves yearning for the eternal, and perhaps more so now as it seems like civilization is crumbling around us.Â
Our good friend, David Bereit (founder of 40 Days for Life) just made the above video, in Fredericksburg, Virginia. The location has a park and monument where Carrie and her family have spent countless hours. It is a beautiful spot where Mary Washington praying earnestly for her son and the country during the Revolutionary War. Nearby are also cemeteries full of dead from the Civil War, another stark reminder of the times of unrest our country has seen.Â
David has prepared a "State of the Culture" survey, a platform for you to express your thoughts on the most pressing issues we face in today's society. This is something a bit out of the ordinary for Theology of Home, but we invite you to pause, reflect, and lend your voice to a conversation of great importance. Often, we feel like we don't know what to do to help the culture beyond prayer. This is a great opportunity to let our voices be heard in an effective way.
Your insights are crucial in helping to identify positive solutions, resources, and initiatives for working together to create positive change. David and those he is working with want to help us rebuild our culture and not give into the tearing down we witness all around us.
Whether it's the sanctity of life, marriage and family, religious liberty, or any other cultural issue that you feel strongly about, let your voice be heard. Your voice matters, and your participation will help David and others better serve you and the needs of all Catholic women.
The survey should take approximately 7-9 minutes to complete, and all responses are anonymous. We encourage you to take a few moments to complete this survey. It is a small act, but one that can have a significant impact on our community.
